School Committee Members Honored
at RIASC's 2010 Annual Meeting

RIASC's 2010 Annual Meeting was held at Save the Bay Headquarters on May 8, 2010.  Attendees were impressed by the facility that is located on Narragansett Bay, in spite of the torrential downpours and the lightening show!

Attendees heard presentations on the state of Rhode Island's economy and the Fiscal Stresses Impacting State Government.  Commissioner Gist presented on the status on the state's Race to the Top application.

Leadership Development Academy graduates received their Board of Regent's recognition that day.    The graduates were Denise Arsenault, Sandra Flowers, David Patten, Mark Rafanelli, Lisa Tomasso, and Richard Welch.

Also, two school committee members received the Howard Kay award  for outstanding school committee leadership -- Katherine Patenaude of Coventry and Louis Sposato of Westerly.

Congratulations to all!  RIASC appreciates your commitment to professional development.  Thanks to all attendees who gave their time to attend this informative, and timely program.
