Superintendents, Principals, and School Committee Members Session on School Empowerment

RIASC held a Legislative Workshop for school committee members, superintendents and principals to inform them of the status of education bills in the current session.

Commissioner Wagner addressed the crowd of 80 on the details of his school empowerment plan and attendees interacted to formulate questions and concerns for the Commissioner.

Our own Scott Mueller facilitated the workshop which led to formative discussion on the proposed plan.  In closing, RIASC Executive Director, Tim Duffy, gave members a great overview of current legislation and the State budget.

Barbara Cottam, Chair of the Rhode Island Board of Education and Board members Colleen Callahan and Jo Eva Gaines also attended and participated in the discussion.
